my current setup is a Fender Baja telecaster, boss me 70 multi effects and a Fender pro junior. I have about £400-500 to spend on a new guitar. i'm looking with something with p90's or humbuckers to go with the single coils in my tele. I play songs by bands like The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys and the Vaccines. Can you suggest some guitars for me to look at? thanks in advance.

The good news: Reverend has a lot of guitars that would look and sound great for your purposes, including- but it limited to- the Double Agent III.

The bad news: AFAIK, only Vintage & Modern in the UK stocks them new. So trying before buying will be next to impossible. Heck, I live in a major city in the USA, and they're hard to find- the closest store to me that sells them has changed to an Internet only sales model.

Bad news #2: they will be slightly out of your price range, new.* You might have to go used if you're interested.

*...but worth it.

Was think of dot with pickup replacement. What pickups would be good?

These would be good: http://www.railhammer.com/index.html

Not only do they have nice HBs, they just introduced 2 HB-sized P90 pickups. So you could get something like a HyperVintage for the bridge and a Gnarly 90 or Tel 90 for the neck.

STEWMAC carries them- well, they haven't gotten the P90s yet, but they will- and ships internationally.
