Hey guys.

Changing pickups in my Epiphone Thunderhorse Explorer from Gibson Burstbuckers to Seymour 59/Distortion combo.

The burstbuckers are on push/pull pots; the SDs are single conductor humbuckers, so I need to change the pots!

I'm aware I need 500k pots but there are different shaft lengths and base widths and not too sure which ones will fit through the wood, and in the width of the cavity etc.

Just wondering if anyone has changed pots in an explorer recently or know what will fit?

TL;DR. - need new pots for my epiphone, which ones will fit? kthx

you need short shaft pots.

You can leave the push pull puts in and use them as regular pots. If you want the best pots, Bournes are about the best you'll find.

Cheers dude!

I think it'll benefit me and be a cleaner job overall to just get new pots and wire all the new bits up.
