Hey,

So I'm in a career direction course at school, and I'm supposed to do some primary research on the market opportunities, the trends, and the predictions of what I want to do in music.

I obviously don't have any big name contacts to interview so the other option was to make a survey. I love the good people on UG so I figured I'd try here first.

It covers live shows, songwriting, recording, and the ways we find out about new music.

tl;dr = Do this survey, it won't take long, it's about music.

Thank you VERY VERY much for completing this (if you do)!

Question 4 and the response choices show a lack of understanding of PROs and licensing. If someone writes a song they have to get paid for another artist to record it in the form of mechanicals. If it is streamed, broadcast or performed live, your PRO collects then distributes the performance license fees to the composer/song writer (or publisher).

Other than that, complete.
If I miss one day of practice, I notice it.
If I miss two days, the critics notice it.
If I miss three days, the audience notices it.
