those are god awful choices, but of modern (post-2000) punk my favorite is Rise Against.

This, especially the "pre-Appeal to Reason" era of Rise Against.

Sufferer and the Witness is one of my favourite albums of all time, and Rise Against is probably the best modern punk band. I have heard bayside called punk, but I don't consider them punk.

Get Shot.

Or Standby Stereo.

After those two, it's a tie between Rise Against and The Offspring for me.

Blakemore Effects Deus Ex Machina

God I'm so glad I'm not 14 anymore I would have found things like this funny and I wanna kill myself thinking about that.
Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need. Aim it right, and you can blow a kneecap off the world.

Sum 41 got popular when I was 12 and Green Day/Blink were big way before that.

And that was 12 years ago. It's crazy that people still think that's current punk.

This guy gets it. I SAW Green Day when I was 14, which was 11 years ago.

I remember the good ol' days of punk when girls would be like "I think The Used are pretty punk rock" and we would agree with them based on how hot they were.

Should have known on a butt rock site people would be posting new metal esque or pop punk stuff.

Skate punk is garbage.

Best current punk band is Big Momma Thornton. No I don't care that she's probably been dead for decades.

I lost my virginity when I was 14 because of this, that fool speaks the truth

NOFX.

The only band in the poll that used to be somewhat-punk is Green Day. The others are pop garbage, not punk.
#26
None of those are really "punk rock" bands. But choosing from the poll, I would say Green Day.
I'm not sure if today exists a good and classic "punk rock" band.
#28
Haha, how many times do I need to say that these are NOT the only bands you can choose?!

I dont know if anyone posted on these guys yet but they should be on everyones playlist if ur still into the punk scene... but Propaghandi... hands down one of the greatest punk bands of right now

check them out
#30
and no nofx is NOT pushing out music nor have they any time recently..
albeit they were a great band
but... on another note... Green Day hasn't been punk since the 80's...
just sayin...
#33
All of the bands on the poll suck beyond belief, and pop-pnk isn't even punk, just watered down commercialized shit.

The Descendents.

i don't know how many are aware, but they're actually working on new stuff... well at least they're supposed to be d: so pumped

And to the guy that said Propaghandi, everyone should give them a listen they're awesome. Punk is still most certainly alive, I think it just sounds a bit different. The Menzingers are pretty new and put out awesome shit. Also check out Bangers. Spotify gives some decent suggestions
#39
none of the above..

There's plenty of great contemporary punk bands.

Johnny Throttle from London
The Love Triangle from London
The Gaggers from London
The Parkinsons from London
Cyanide Pills from Leeds
The Chemicals from Portland
The Spits from Seattle
2nd District from Germany
The Modern Pets from Berlin
The Pennycocks from Spain
Smart Cops from Italy
Ameobas from Canada

Just a couple off the top of my head

How has nobody mentioned BAD RELIGION!?

Also, NOFX, MxPx, Descendents, Rancid, Rise against.'

Especially the first 3 (and bad religion) aren't super relevant anymore, but they are still together and have put out some great stuff.
