So surely we have some Fine Artists here on UG?

We should have a thread where people post their art for criticism and feedback and just to see cool art that people have done because I love seeing it!

Whether it's computer art, fine oil paintings, graffiti you've done in the street, or even just painting your guitar an interesting design.

Yeah go. I can start and post some shit if you want.

Shitty image because it was taken with my phone and had to be rotated. But this is my first real painting ever and I am really happy with the results. Bob Ross was a ****in genius.

I think we have an art appreciation thread, but not an 'original art' thread.

There's a Post Your Art thread somewhere

It took a while, but honestly just watch a bob ross video with the right tools and im pretty sure just about anybody could do similar.

whoa dude, That painting is good shit

And really, you could get a cat to scratch paper after it stepped in ink and it would look better than my hand writing

don't think 'anybody' could do that

I really wish I could find my watercolor painting of a rhinoceros. I really like it and it's probably the only presentable thing I've ever done.

I like to do digital art in my spare time.

I'm currently working on a picture of Colin Farrel as Alexander the Great (only the face is close to 'finished'):

Here's a character from the tower defence/shooter game Sanctum 2:

And finally, the eponymous hero from Arn: Knight Templar:

I use PaintTool Sai. It's a pretty lightweight program, but it's cheap and effective. The only real downside is its really awkward to make custom brushes.

Lots of practice. You have to get used to the pen tablet once you decide to use it.

Lots is an understatement. I just got a Bamboo tablet and it feels so awkward to use. Maybe its that it's not super sensitive or something but it just feels almost "clunky" coming straight from pen/ink illustration.

Unfortunately I don't have any good pictures to post up. Lots of in-progress ones on my phone but none of anything complete. My BFA final portfolio/exhibition/thingy is coming up though so I'll have to take some nice photos soon, then I'll have something to contribute haha.

I used to be really into drawing. Did this portrait of Devin Townsend two years ago:

I also wanted to try to draw a manga(this was three years ago, I think):

Haven't been doing much drawing recently, though. Closest thing is the art to my upcoming album that I tossed together in Paint.NET a few weeks ago:

I do erotic art.

A few others, in spoiler tags because they're really large:

I also do death metal/grindcore band logos.

There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

Jeez Slacker. I've said this before, but they're all beautiful. Especially the one with the tigers. If I'm ever in the UK I'm buying one from you
