Hi guys,

I need to set up an email for my music act for booking, press, etc etc. A lot of people use gmail, hotmail and other generic emails. bandname@gmail.com. Sure its works, but I feel it doesnt looks so professional when you could have a bookings@bandname.com email address.

a @bandname address does the same thing, but it looks more professional, which may influence the first impressions that people have of you.

But it also costs a fee and a little more effort.

Which raises the question of whether the difference it will make is really worth it.

What are your opinions of this?

I am a solo artist and do every thing myself.

Thanks

If you have a website using the bandname.com address, you might as well use it for your email as well.

If you don't own the domain name anyway, it probably doesn't matter.

It's $10 for a .com name. It will take about an hour to figure out how to do it.

Why wouldn't you?
