Let's get a share thread going here.

I grew up in the generation of playing tapes and CD's in cars, as I'm sure most of you did as well. I have always listened to albums more than I have to songs. I figured this would be a pretty great thread to share some good albums in their entirety. I definitely need to expand my library. I'm in one of those ruts where I'm listened to the same handful of bands again, this will be a great way to branch.

RULES

1. Only 2 Videos Per Post. We don't need someone posting ten albums no one will listen to. If someone likes your tastes, they'll quote and ask for more.

2. Please, if you quote someone's post, just put an album description in the quote box, don't quote the entire video. We don't need a thread of giant quoted YT boxes. Leave that BS kind of posting for YLYL copy threads.

3. Posting J pop is deplorable. Avoid at all costs.

Here's a favorite of many UGer's and other Midwestern fans:

Nobody is going to listen to any of these, but here:

*Black Gives Way To Blue*

I'm going to make an effort and giving every album a chance. I'm sure I'll hear the first song of some and just "NOPE" immediately. Good choice, by the way. I'll give yours another spin.

Probably the best album ever recorded on a 4 track cassette recorder, and the storytelling is pure genius and haunting.

Warning: this is not for everyone

The first album I thought of was Augury's Fragmentary Evidence because I just saw the full album on there a month or two ago but now it's gone. Lame. So there's these instead:

One's a classic and one's an album nobody will like cause it's power metal.

I really wanted to post Melophobia by Cage the Elephant, but the full album (and most of the songs in general) isn't on youtube. Give it a listen if you want, I've really been digging it. Here's a sample but it's really the only song I could find, if I could I would have posted Take it Or Leave it.

But here's this as a consolation

*Brand New and Tomahawk*

That BN album was pretty rad, man! Tomahawk wasn't my thing. I gave it a good 20 minutes worth.

Definitely worth a listen. I remember before I got into them I was expecting another boring pop band, but they're actually quite brilliant and even hate being labelled as indie/pop. Their subsequent albums are far more progressive/experimental too.

Heard it before, still didn't dig, sorry.

The one song I heard from the Cage the Elephant album was surprisingly acceptable.

Tame Impala is the shit though, here:

I've seen Brand New and Godspeed already, this thread has my support.

This Will Destroy You - Tunnel Blanket

Have a Nice Life - Deathconsciousness

Both great albums.
All in favour of spoiler tags? My inferior Australian internet lags like holy Hell.

That is all I have to say.
