I'm looking to start gigging, in bars around town nothing to fancy.

I'd probably be playing stuff like:

Foo Fighters
Kings of Leon
The Killers
Pearl Jam

Stuff like that. Just want something that's going to sound really good. I don't want to spend anymore then 1000 before taxes. I'm also not too sure what to get cause I've only bought 1 amp before even though I've been playing for years. Guide me UG!

Thanks

For me, bedroom levels is a cranked plexi half stack.

I play a heavily modded Fender Blues Jr that cranks out 30 watts. Without mods, the Hotrod Deluxe should easily meet your needs.

Yeah that lineup pretty much has Marshall DSL written all over it.

Egnater of some sort? I reckon a Renegade combo would work. Pretty sure they can be had for <1000 new. DSL would be killer as well, or maybe a used Laney of some sort?

My band tours across the nation 6 months out of the year, performing at venues and bars. We regularly cover the Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, and the Killers (every night actually) and my JCMDSL handles all of them like a dream. Couldn't recommend the amp more.

We also decided to step down from our 4x12s and move to Jet City 2x12. sound great, many options, a DI, and take up less space on stage and in the trailer. I do recommend looking into many cab options as well. Craigslist is your friend!

You can find a place to test one out, and then surf things like Craigslist and ebay for a head or a cab, they are rather bountiful online
