So basically like, how many consecutive hours have you stayed up in a row? like, what is your record? my previous record was 36 but... (sorry, I've been up for 41 now, so I'm not even going to try to formulate that into a cohesive sentence. My brain feels weird.) anyway, this will determine how kewl u r, or kvlt if you like black metal and are kvlt like me

okay go
At the moment I've been up for maybe 12 hours
and I'm leaving for a seven hour shift

staying up too long is silly and you only regret it

don't worry though TS, you're super cool
But boys will be boys and girls have those eyes
that'll cut you to ribbons, sometimes
and all you can do is just wait by the moon
and bleed if it's what she says you ought to do
I have no idea

I know i've stayed up way longer than I should have though
It's over simplified, So what!

I don't know what is going on in this thread or why I have an erection.
pretty sure i was approaching 70 hours a couple of years ago. that was pretty fun, paranoia and all

don't call me kvlt though, that shit's lame

My record is 114. Of course I was on METH the whole time so that may explain why

My record is probably in the 90s somewhere. A couple of years ago I was always pulling all nighters and I basically went four days without sleep once.

I just did around 36 this week, and I only had two hours of sleep separating that 36 hour period from another 24(ish) hour period. This is the first time I've been this bad in a long time. I still feel weak.
37 hours during high school...

Got up at 6:30 one morning, went to school, came home, did homework, then went to my friend's house with some other friends, where we drank and played pool until about 1 am, played Xbox for another few hours, and wrote two songs, and then I went back to school, and when I got home at 3 pm, I immediately fell asleep for about 12 hours.

I hate staying up for too long, and I hate over-sleeping. I don't care when I get 8 hours, as long as I get a full 8 hours.
This ends now, eat the goddamn beans!

I once stayed up past 9:00pm. Mummy smacked my bottom and sent me to bed.
Fuck that nazi guy.
Something like 40. The first day, I had prom in the evening and after prom from 12:30 to the morning. The next day, I had to be at school in the morning for some prize-giving ceremony rehearsal and then the actual thing in the evening.

I'm a student. I've got no time or space for an amp!
somewhere around 48 when writing a research article. That 48 hrs was basically just compiling references and getting it bound for submission, and i had a final that afternoon.

I came pretty close to 48 a few weeks ago though. friend's birthday on Friday night, stayed up all night, got home at 11, just enough time for lunch and a quick shower and I had to spend the next 6 hrs visiting relatives and family friends for some festival. Then went to a friend's graduation dinner/party that evening, came back around 4am, but couldn't sleep because there was a beetle in my room so I spent like an hour trying to find it, then when I did the sun came up and shone into my face and woke me up even more. So I read the Sunday paper, ate breakfast, and slept until 3 pm.

I wasn't actually tired during either of these instances though. Except the second one on the bus home from the first party and I REALLY wanted to close my eyes for a bit but everyone else was passed out or sloppy pukey drunk or asleep so I had to be awake to make sure we got off at the right stop and herd everyone on to the train. it was interesting

personally, I'd rather go without sleep than sleep for 2 hours and be forced to wake up for something I don't want to do. It makes my skin really dry and oily though.

edit: just realized I might do the 48hr thing again this weekend - I woke up at 4 this morning, I'm going out tonight, I've got a double shift at work tomorrow, then have to run various errands, then prepare a presentation for one of my classes and submit before 7 am monday. Unless I sleep during my break at work but I don't think I could nap for such a short period of time without feeling disgusting after

I guess I've been awake for about 60 hours at some festivals, but that wasn't really naturally awake tbh...

About 40 hours. No amount of masturbation could tire my brain out!

I had exams the following morning as well... Trying to work out logarithms all tired and smelly. I got a B grade though... I can live with that.

Maybe about 32 hours.

Lack of sleep happens far more than I'd like. Working night shift does this to you from time to time.
40 something a couple years ago.

Thrashturbating? Most metal of all ways to pleasure oneself.
my record's somewhere in the 48 hour range.

it sucks though. wanted to shoot myself last time my insomnia was that bad.
In the 60s or 70s, of course at that point you're completely strung out, drugs or not, you're likely microsleeping without noticing it too.

My ex had insomnia, and a week her mom decided not to pick up pills since she was on her moms insurance she only slept around 2 hours in 6 days.

24 h Because I was riding to the Ozzy show about 500 km in one side. Then I was at the concert and after It I couldn't sleep.
I once stayed up for 4 days straight with maybe 2hours sleep in between somewhere but never again. I slept for more than 24hours then. Woke up only go eat, piss and go back to sleep.I was like 14 at the time thought, I think.
1. You're surfing the internet.
2. You're browsing through the UG forums.
3. You're reading now.
5. You didn't notice that there was no #4.
6. You just checked it.
7. Now you're having a lil smile.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.
I know this is going to sound like a lie but when I was a freshman in college I stayed up for seven nights in a row during final exams. I took a lot of energy pills and other things, and even got drunk twice and sobered up without going to sleep. I started hallucinating toward the end.

A couple of times my head did droop while I was studying but most of the stuff I was working on was a sculpture and drawing, so it wasn't like i had to read much. When you are that tired and you drift off momentarily, the lucid dreaming state is so real, that its like living in another dimension.

So, 7 days. An entire week. I almost didn't post because I know its nearly unbelievable but that is my record. Now that i'm older, I get so tired I have to nap every now and then so I have no idea how I did it and could never match it again.

Sadly this is Ultimate-guitar, not Simple-guitar. We can't help you.

I've always wanted to plan a 48 hour bonanza of activities with my friends, but have never got around to it. I'm sure my record is only close to 30. I think the last time I stayed up the longest was when Red Dead Redemption came out. After school, picked it up at midnight release and played til the next morning, then went to Cedar Point.
Once you get passed like thirty years old, I think its nearly impossible to stay up for more than three days, without at least nodding off once. I cringe even at the thought. It would take me a week to recover from that.
