On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

I thought this was a joke at first and was totally going to make Lulu jokes.

But now, I feel sad.

RIP, Lou. Was never a fan, but a sad loss nonetheless.

IMO one of the most overrated songwriters of all time, if not THE most. I can't stand to listen to 95% of his work but he did have a lil something for everyone while doing his own thing, sad day for Rock and Roll, RIP Lou Reed.

I never really cared for anything he has done.
Lulu was a travesty IMO.

But I do feel some sadness whenever a musician that many others consider a favorite or an influence passes away.

RIP Lou.

There is literally only Rolling Stone magazine saying it, and all the others are saying "Rolling Stone reports". He's been the subject of many a hoax and it's not on any major news site yet. I'll be gutted if it's true though.

Basically this. If it's true, I'm probably going to have a pretty depressing night. Hooray for ignorance right now though.

RIP, you and your music will not be forgotten.
Please call me Rainer, was 16 and empty minded when I made my profile.

Well, shit. Rest in peace, Lou. I didn't enjoy every tune you made, but the ones I did, I really did.

Shit. A couple months ago I ended up watching a documentary on TV about VU which was just a live performance with snippets of interviews and history inbetween footage. I had never listened to them before and was blown away not just by the music but especially by some of Lou's answers in the interview. Since then I haven't really thought of VU at all but I remember having the intention to look into them more.

Realizing all of this now I'm gonna get to downloading.
