hey guys does anyone know of any snare sound stomp boxes? like a regular kick drum that sounds like a snare. or even something that has separate snare and bass sounds built into it.

You could mount a snare drum sideways and tape a drum stick to a kick drum pedal....or use samples.

Check out loop pedal - you could record a sample of a snare onto one and activate it when you need that sound.
It's an opinion. It's subjective. And I'm right, anyway.

Hire a drummer.

MIDI trigger and drum machine is what you should be looking at.

If you're wanting to play drum sounds while playing guitar get a kahon/cajon. They have a kick and snare sound. Blues player use them all the time.

Yeah, Slap-happy I've got a boss rc30 loop station but I dont think it allows me to record a sample of a snare so that when i tap a switch it plays it. or at least i haven't been able to figure that out.

Cathbard, do you have a few recommendations for a drum machine or midi trigger?

guy tebache yeah I've seen them and played them before. but i was thinking of something more portable. something i can chuck on to a pedal board as an acoustic player or carry with me in a back pack.
