Hi, I've been offered a Bugera 333xl head as a trade for my guitar; Washburn X50 PRO E w/EMGs and a case. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? I'm just a bit worried about the reliability of the amp as I've heard a lot about them breaking down.

I wouldn't

Stay classy, pit.

Is it better than your current amp?
Do you like the sound it gives?
Do you like the guitar you have?
Do you have other guitars you prefer more?
Are you gonna miss the X50 when it goes?
Do you have a compatible cab to go with the bugera?

Few questions to think about

Same here. I wouldn't pay a cent over $200 for that Bugera, and IIRC, that particular Washburn model sells for around $300-400 used.

It has a very different tone from my current amp Orange Rocker 30.
Yeah, from clips I've heard they good good, it's just the reliability that I'm worried about.
I do like the guitar but I have another X50 with seymour duncans and another guitar with EMGs (EC-1000) so I could live without it. I'd prefer to trade or sell it to get new amp or a different guitar such as a telecaster.
I'm in the UK and I haven't seen a lot of used bugera 333xl for sale so I'm not sure exactly how much they are worth used though the 333xl infinium is about £450 new which is pretty much what the X50 was new.
You guys think the X50 has a better resale value than the amp then?

Does the amp come with a fire extinguisher?

Ive seen a lot of used 333xl's recently. More so than the 6260 family.
Give the guitar a few more days/couple weeks up for trade/selling point then ask the guy if he still wants to trade if you want to.

Personally id keep the guitar considering you have one of my all time rave amps. Can pick up 333xl heads for around the £200 - £250 mark. (Check Gumtree often, ive seen loads go on there)

Do what you prefer though. End of the day its your gear

keep the guitar. and yes the guitar does have a better resale value than that amp. those amps DO sound decent WHEN they work. you already have a pretty nice amp why have a crappy second amp. keep that guitar dude and pass on that bugera
