I wanted to adjust the action on my Stagg electro-acoustic guitar by sanding down the underside of the saddle. I've never done it before (can you tell) but, armed with some good advice from YouTube, took off the strings and removed the saddle.

Unfortunately, the underside of the saddle (unlike in all the videos) has what best can be described as little flat teeth. Kind of like upside-down castle ramparts if that helps.

As I say, I haven't come across this in the videos and haven't seen a saddle like it on the web, so am wondering whether these teeth can be sanded off to lower the action, or whether the sanding them off on the underside of the saddle and making it flat will mess-up the sound?

Any advice for a novice much appreciated.
