Sorry, the only way that's going to happen is if you hire someone to steal one for you and pay them $200 to do it...

You could score a nice Marshall MG for that price!

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

I've been told they have a tube in them!

Anyway, maybe you can score a really (reeeeally) DSL15c for that kind of money, but I wouldn't do that.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

Watch out there MC, people on UG hate the MG series. Mostly because they don't accept it for what it is meant to be, but that's a different thread

My man, MC is a moderator here and well aware of the hatred the MG gets

TS, you aren't going to find a much of a decent tube anything for that price, let alone a Marshall.

It's meant to be a guitar amp, and it does a terrible job at doing so.

Well, maybe I am just showing my ignorance, but I thought the MG series where meant to be a good nightstand?

If you save a little more money, you could get like a Peavey Windsor 1x12 or something. I've only played the head version, but wasn't terribly disappointed. They went new for $200 a few years ago.

Marshall isn't going to happen in that price range, if good Marshall's were $200 we would all have a JCM800 and a couple Plexi's to chop steak on

Given that, there are some options if you can stretch your budget a bit. Crate Blue Voodoo's can be had for a good price, and there's my personal favorite (Peavey VTM) that can be had for around $300.

3203/4203? I picked up a 3203 head for $100 on CL, clean channel was not working, they can be had for a few hundred. They're hit or miss for a lot of people, it is a hybrid. But I was pleasantly surprised with the gain channel. Great for a practice amp imo, and I actually used it for a gig playing ratm covers when i was working on my main amp. It got the job done. It does only have a "tone" knob for the gain channel, the EQ is only for the clean channel. I was happy enough with it.
