I picked myself up a new Gibson LP today for a $500 at a local pawn store.

It has a faded tobacco burst finish, with P90's.

I believe it has a 60's slim taper neck, and is a fairly light guitar.

I'm thinking it might be a 60's Tribute or maybe one of the studio fades?

All the serial# tells me is that its a 2012 #22 made in Tennessee.

Can someone tell me for sure what model LP this is?

Yep, 60's Tribute. Only thing that's different to my one is the colour.

Cool. Thanks!

How much do these things usually go for? I fell in love with the p90's and the neck is the same as my snake pit LP. I thought $500 was a pretty good price.

Also, could someone suggest a place to buy a gibson hardshell case for a decent price?

Over here in Australia, my 60's trib, which is absolutely immaculate, cost me a swap of my Epi LP Custom, a Marshall 8080 amp, $200 cash and 3 days of haggling. We pay a bit of a premium down here though. As for the hardshell, ask around local stores and pawn shops. Especially pawn shops, they like to split guitars up from their cases and sell them separately.

Good call. I'll have scower the shops around the city.

Im sort of kicking myself now. They had a gold top 60s and a studio for 500 as well on friday. I was going to get 2 today but they only had one left

Used they run $500–$700. They aren’t worth much because of the baked maple fretboard.
