Hey guys I'm thinking about upgrading the pickups in my Les Paul Studio. I've narrowed my choices down to the Seymour Duncan Distortion or a Gibson 500t. I have a 500t in my Flying V and I prefer it over my 498 in my lp because of the higher output and brighter sound. I play mostly hard rock and thrash stuff in standard or 1/2 set down tuning. So which pickup do you think would be better? Thanks -Zac

They are very similar. I'd go for the SD because you can probably get it a lot cheaper.
