Hi!

I just traded one of my guitars for a Tom Delonge Squier Strat. I usa that guitar anyway so I thought I might aswell trade this.

I'm thinking about replacing the current pickup which is a duncan designed "The Detonator" with a Seymour Duncan JB sh-4.
I'm just wondering, since this guitar only has a volume knob, would I have to do anything special with the wires that are supposed to be solded to the tone knob or would I just leave them not connected to anything?

Thanks in advance!

Just use one of the wiring diagrams on the SD website.

pull the old pickup out and attach the wires the exact same. Both are Seymour Duncan pickups and have the same wire color code (even though one is Duncan designed)
