Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but I'm not sure where to post it. I'm looking to find some kind of device/hardware that I can use to playback backing tracks for my band. I have all these pads, synths, guitar, bass, and percussion that I have done in the recordings and I'd like to incorporate to our live sound. I know I've seen bands using something like this that will also provide the tempo for the drummer.

Does anyone know what they're call, or how to find them. I've googled, gone to various online music stores but I'm not sure how to find it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I don't really want to use my computer. Because I'll be using it for synth plugins and pads, and don't want to overload it, and stop in the middle of the song.

All of the small/local bands I've seen just use iPods.

Hmm, you could load them up on a usb drive and use a GR-55 to play them back. you get the bonus of a looper, and synth sounds/piano/etc, and a pretty decent direct to the pa sound.
