Would like to start listening to Symphony X. Which album do I start off with? That encompasses their best work?

V: The New Mythology Suite has the perfect mix of synths (per their earlier albums) and heaviness (their past 3 or so albums). Depending on your tastes, go in either direction from there.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do like the heavier side so I'm gonna try Iconoclast And Paradise Lost first..

I think "Paradise Lost" is more amicable because it has a lot of power metal elements and some very catchy melodies, while "The Odyssey" and "The Divine Wings of Tragedy" are more proggy and have very prominent use of neo-classical elements. "V: The New Mythology Suite" kinda mixes them bot.
