Can anyone tell me if there would be a large or small tone difference between these 2 SE models, the Tremonti and the 245. I would be comparing just the base models. Have played the Tremonti but cannot track down a SE 245. Thank you for your help.

If I remember correctly the 245 is LP thickness whereas the Tremonti isn't, but I don't entirely remember.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

the 245 is thicker, about the same as a les paul.

different scale lengths, the 245 is shorter.

not sure about the neck profiles, check prsguitars.com i'm sure it's all listed in the specs.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

The Tremonti SE also has hotter pickups in it.

So there would be a large difference in sound/tone between the two, with the SE 245 much closer to the LP?
