Metal Radio - WORSHIP STEEL

Once upon a time, men and gods alike would worship steel. Bow down and turn the volume up. Weak don't entry.

Tracklist:
1. Basil Poledouris - Riddle of Steel / Riders of Doom
2. Agent Steel - Agents of Steel
3. Riot - Thundersteel
4. Satan - Blades of Steel
5. Midnight - You Can't Stop Steel
6. Desaster - Teutonic Steel
7. Manowar - Secret of Steel
8. Crimson Glory - Heart of Steel
9. Bonus Track

Posting this today because tomorrow I'll be drunk. Nothing obscure here, but I don't give a damn. No points are given for guessing the bonus track.

Schedule:
December 09: AnnihiSlateR
December 16: rg_metal
December 23: Helloween4ever
December 30: dillonrips7
January 06: Kytokinesis
January 13: severed-metal

I... I should return to Arkham.

You genuinely scared me. Thought it was Monday. Christ sakes, listening now. Quite a few I recognize, looks great!

EDIT: Is the bonus track a reggae track because if it is I'm going to stop listening right now.

Bonus track is either Medieval Steel by Medieval Steel or What's Going On by 4 Non Blondes

Calling it rite now.
Who are you? The prince of darkness? Don't you have any friends?

If you stop you are weak. You're not weak, are you?

If it was 2008, I'd quote this on my signature.

Amazing mix. After 4 songs or so I knew what the bonus would be, but such a beast radio none the less.

Fantastic mix. All the songs were great but the bonus track left the biggest impression.

Bazza P - Arguably the finest piece of film score ever written. At least for the style. Such power, beauty, scope, and so evocative of the imagery it accompanies.

Agent Steel - A name I know of, but never tried until now. And upon hearing how good they are I wish I'd heard them soon. Proper good speed/power metal.

Riot - yet another band/album I've been meaning to check out. Damn this is good. I have a feeling I'll be downloading a lot of albums later, and in the coming weeks quite possibly making a few purchases if your mix carries on at this rate.

Satan - I feel I know this one, even though I've probably only heard the album 5/6 times. I guess that's a testament to it's quality. Really solid album, and a really good track.

Midnight - Again, a name I know but never tried. A bit too Motorhead / Venom for my liking. Which might seem an odd thing to say, but I've never been in love with those bands. It's still a good track even if it doesn't grab me that much.

Desaster - yet again, familiar with but never tried. Quite like the folky melody, and the plodding warmarch-esque rhythm to the start of it. A nice ominous feel to it. I always thought they were more of a sort of black/thrash band, but this is almost reminding me of Sabbat at their most folky.

Manowar - I don't know what I'm missing with Manowar. They're ok, but they don't wow me like they did when I was 16.

Crimson Glory - Another band I know of but never listened to. And it would seem they are absolutely belting.

Medieval Steel - you guessed it, heard but not listened to. But this is great.

Great mix, and one I think may end up costing me a few bob in the long run haha. The pressure is really on for me next week after this haha.

Good to see you guys like this! Not all hope is lost.

As for Manowar, I learned to appreciate them through Solstice's cover of Gloves Of Metal. I only really like the first 4 albums, and even they have quite a bit of hit-or-miss material. But when it hits, it hits hard.

I did not even notice that all the song titles had "steel" in them, Jesus Christ save us all.

Anyways, great list. Midnight (both in Crimson Glory and the band) were absolutely great as always, I'm a sucker for Satanic Royalty though. One of the best albums around. Hadn't really bothered too much with Agent Steel and Desaster but will put them on my ever-growing list. Riot's Thundersteel. What can I say about that...

AND AT LAST WE KNOW HE'S REEEAAAAL
THE POWER OF HIS SWORD WE FEEEL

THUUUNDEEERSTEEEEEEEEEL
THUUUNNDDEEERR STEEE-EEEE-EEEELE

Manowar's opening riff in that song is absolutely monstrous, the Conan track brings back memories of getting blasted, and Satan is classic.
