hi. i want to buy a handy practice unit like boss me25 and have some questions.

how is the me25 mod /dist effects and amp sims compared to boss gt10?are they the same or gt10 is better? i don't mean in tweakability that i know gt10 is far better than me25. but how about the tone quality?

another question, i want to plug me25 to home theater or pc speaker which output is suitable ? headphone out or line out?

and the final question , is the me25 tone better than gnx4? i have gnx4 but the mod effects are really dated and the recording quality isn't that good.

I like the ME-25 for the freeze effect. 38 sec looper is nice too. Controls and readouts are very basic and minimal. Difficult to read back what the current settings are. I see no problems with hooking it to a stereo. I have recorded direct analog out and it sounds fine when played on the stereo. So it would sound exactly the same direct. $100 used would be a fair price.

Better than the GNX4. And the distortion tones are IMO better than the GT8 I used to have. Never used a GT10.

i have m-audio profire610 but even with this interface, gnx4 recording quality isn't that good. hope that boss me25 do the job better.

You don't need a recording interface for the GNX4. Use USB. The GNX is a difficult box to tweak.

gnx4 usb recording quality is not good. i reached a better tone with a good interface (maudio profire 610)and gnx4 but still not good enough :|

Line 6 POD X3 live or POD HD 300/400/500 would be my choice

The GNX4 is limited to 44.1/16bit. Other interfaces may record higher data rates. USB should be straight from the source digital with no conversions. Could be that filtering on the analog interface tames harshness before hitting your audio interface, and that makes it sound better.

Seriously look at the Line 6 POD X3 if your broke or the POD HD series if not. They are way better than Digitech and Boss MFX pedals. You will have better recording also
