I was wondering if I can use my BOSS GT-8 direct to my 4x12 Marshall cab...???

You need a power amp in between.

You *can* go with tubes if you like; the Carvin TS-100 is a 100W (stereo 50W/50W or 100W bridged) amp that can take either EL34 or 6L6 power tubes. http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/TS100 $599 (or find one used).
