Can UG recommend some good free sites where I can learn music theory from?
Books will also be appreciated. I've played guitar for a few years but as far as music theory goes I know only the basics and I wanna change that.

i've never been to it but a lot of the people here recommend musictheory.net (something like that)

Don't laugh, but i found the complete idiot's guide to music theory to be pretty good. like most music books there are a few mistakes, but it started at the start and covered most of the the "need to know" things pretty well, without going too quickly but without being patronising, either (I find the "dummies" guides to often be a bit patronising, and often gimmicky and with too many supposed "jokey" bits which aren't funny IMO). Assuming you wanted a basic, general (i.e. not guitar-specific) theory book it's pretty good.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
