Does playing basketball affects or diminishes your ability to play guitar?

#1
I remember a long time ago my guitar teacher told me that everything I had practiced during a week could be lost just by playing a single basketball match. I dont know if that is completely true but since your hands do receive impact from passing and dribbling I have to admit I myself have experienced my hands becoming clumsy and stiff after playing. Any thoughts on this?

No impact whatsoever.

If that were true, playing guitar will undo a week's worth of guitar practice. After all, my fingers get clumsy and stiff after long playing sessions without a break.
^^The above is a Cryptic Metaphor^^
