The pickups are a calibrated set of Bare Knuckle Blackhawks. They have the distinctive steel blades. They are have great definition under heavy distortion.

My other favorite thing is the fretboard. I choose Padouk for the fretboard versus the other common woods. Padouk is a hard wood from Africa, Burma or the Andaman islands. It has a bright orange red color when freshly cut. The fretboard has this magical feel.

The bridge is the new seven string version of Schaller Hannes bridge. Originally, it was supposed to be ruthenium plated but Mayones was having problems sourcing the ruthenium plated version. The seven string version just came on the market.

The top is figured eye poplar with a trans purple dye in a matt finish. It's one of the signature woods used by Mayones. I took a risk with using purple on the eye poplar. You never know how it was going to turn out,

The neck is wenge-mahogony-padouk-maple. Wenge has a deep heavy sound and a very nice slick feel. I've used wenge and padouk in previous wood projects so I chose to use them here.
It is the neck feel that attracted me to Mayones.

The guitar as built is a over $5k including taxes..

It sure as hell looks like it's worth more than $5K. A great build, it is.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

O my, I bet that guitar is great for learning to play without looking at your fingerboard, the back of that neck is ridiculous.
