In the modern world, there isn't much land that doesn't already belong to a sovereign nation.

And while I'm not sure how "new" this is, several countries are trying to claim the North Pole, including Canada, Russia, and Denmark.

http://news.yahoo.com/canada-claims-larger-part-atlantic-ocean-203332918.html

And this is pretty weird (at least for me), because I've never actually seen anything like this in my short lifetime.

So how do you guys think this should work? How should it be decided who gets dibs on the North Pole?

Well, back in the day brothas used to have full on wars about this kinda shit. But two of those three countries are way too progressive to fight about something... so probably Russia will get it. But honestly what is Denmark think they're not even close to the north pole Canada and Russia must think they're a total ass for even trying to get up on that north pole game.
Listen. I'm sorry.

Actually, Santa being Canadian would make sense. What kind of burglar other than a Canadian burglar would break into your house, take nothing but your milk and cookies, and as a way of apologizing leave gifts in your house?

Why wouldn't they just handle it like Antarctica? It's not like there's much going on on the north pole anyway.

why does any nation have any interest in the north pole whatsoever?

just to have it?

like, even if they did have it their laws/government would mean nothing because nobody would be there.
It's over simplified, So what!

snowmen are some of the most well behaved people in the world. there's literally no crime in the north pole. you can't explain that.

It's actually a pretty big deal outside of resources, what with the Northwest Passage and all. Also clearly Canada's.

WW3 impending. Just think of the economical domination of owning Santa's workshop, and then taxing it.

It'd also neatly explain the red suit and Marxist beard.
