Looking for songs/suggestions for songs to learn in Drop C or even Drop B tuning. I know some stuff by KSE, AILD, ABR, Asking Alexandria, Disturbed, Miss May I, It Dies Today, Parkway Drive, Atreyu, and a few more. Looking for more metal/metalcore type of stuff. Nothing by BFMV or CoB. Would like the songs/bands to be more up to date, in a sense.

Thanks, Jonathan

Periphery?

I've never heard of it. But Ironically, my highschool sports teams were known as the Logan Berries.

Sevendust write's alot of songs in really low tuning's. Alter Bridge and Red have some though neither of those are really metal bands.
Learn this song.

You should just learn that whole album. If I had a baritone I would go for it.

Doesn't Periphery use a 7 string? Or is that a different band...

Stuff from For Today, Escape The Fate, and The Word Alive

I've learned a few For Today and Escape the Fate songs, I'll check out The Word Alive though. Thanks!

I think I've started learning their songs a few times, but they're a bit easy. Looking for something a bit harder.

Silverstein, I think, might have some Drop C songs. I know some tablettures are set to C#, but you might find something to your liking.

Anything Periphery plays on a 6 (which is probably at least half their songs) is in drop C. Some fun ones to play would be All New Materials and Buttersnips and The Gods Must Be Crazy.

My favorite band that uses drop C is The Secret (ita). Also, the Deftones album White Pony is drop C.

My favorite band that uses drop B is Veil of Maya. Their songs are pretty tough and great practice to build some chops.

Also, I will say from experience that if your guitar is set up for drop C it's going to sound like shit if you tune it to drop B.
Listen. I'm sorry.

Some bands who play in Drop B/C whose songs I play off the top of my head:

Oh, Sleeper; Born Of Osiris's first couple albums (Drop C, then later albums are 7 string); As Blood Runs Black ( C ); Bring Me The Horizon (Drop B for the first two albums I believe); The Crimson Armada (B or C depending on the song); The Human Abstract (Drop C, and if you haven't heard of them, check them out, I LOVE playing their stuff); I Am Abomination; I Killed The Prom Queen; Job For A Cowboy; Slipknot; Heaven Shall Burn (Drop C I believe)

I can post more but that's enough for now, enjoy

In Flames for C tuning. Check out Soundgarden for some gnarly drop B riffs.
