Hey there all. I am thinking of selling my Epi Les Paul and getting a Gibson and making it more personal. No disses to Epiphone or Zakk Wylde but I just want something new and "mine". Aside from that... I'm thinking of buying a 2014 Gibson LPJ. Now I like the Vintage Sunburst finish the most but I dislike the lack of "Black" on the finish that most vintage sunburst have. So has anyone ever painted one of these guitars or is talented in the area of painting guitars? I'm not asking to do a whole paint job but just more of a "Perimeter Blackening". Thought of get some advice before I attempt doing it myself. If I do go about doing this.. I might post some pics. Thanks!

Or if anyone's painted a guitar with the similar finish?

It is Nitro paint, so you will need nitro to paint over it. www.reranch.com has some nice spray cans or you can order from www.stewmac.com also.
