Sup UG,

I'm getting a wireless system for my guitar this year and I'm not sure which one to look at.

- Price range is up to $ 200 (CDN)

Just be used for little shows and practice. New or used is good enough for me.

Any ideas/advice/things I should keep in mind about going wireless?

Thanks,

Steve

I hear the frequency will change soon, so you should research that a bit. That's all I know.

I'd look at Shure... I've been gigging with mine for over a year now... I haven't been able to walk far enough away from it to go out of range, and I can't tell a difference in the tone from being plugged in..

Look used...

Yeah, I don't know if it's just in certain places or something, but apparently the frequency range of television transmissions is being expanded soonish and will overlap with the current range that most wireless systems currently run out. This will cause interference between the two if old wireless systems are used.

Something to read into. I've only heard snippets and half stories.
