Hey.
Looking to get a delay and a reverb pedal soon to go with my 5150ii head.

Delay wise im pretty sorted on a Joyo Digital Delay. and Reverb the T-Rex tonebug reverb.

Just wondering if there is anything else to consider?

My friend has a load of reverb/delay pedals that im gonna try out soon
Some of them include DD3, DD7, Malekko Ekko, Jack deville dark echo and T-rec replica.

Reverb i know he has just as many (including the T-Rex pedal)

From the UK and budget is £150 dead max for both pedals. Although im looking to buy used more than new.

I would look at a used tc electronic flashback and/or hall of fame I don't know what the prices are by you but its worth a look especially with that super sexy toneprint editor.

I like the joyo analog delay more than the digital one (even though they are both very similar, are both digital, and both made to emulate analog delays). Neither of them will do crisp clean repeats.

I like the biyang time machine better than both of them.

If you can stretch your budget though (not really sure of used prices) the malekko delays are fantastic. Best analog delays for their price imo. If you don't want analog than I'd definitely look at the TC alter ego/time machine. I really dislike how the TC delays don't self oscillate though.

Not much experience with cheap reverbs.

for reverb try the EHX Cathedral if it's reverb and that pedal can't produce it it's not possible.
Someone is wrong on the internet. Only you can help.

Here's a few to consider, in no particular order (some I own, some i have played with, some I know only by rep):

Notes:

1) the Visual Sound H20 is discontinued, but it's a great pedal- built like a tank and easy to use. Nice sound & value for money.

2) the Line6 ToneCore pedals are very good for the price, but have been getting harder to find. They may be discontinued.

3) the MXR Carbon Copy is routinely given good reviews- online AND from people I know who own them.

4) the EHX Memory Boy is another compound pedal, so you get a lot of bang for your buck.

5) I have loved every Red Witch pedal I have ever used. I own 3. That one is a new, rechargeable, compact model that I have never tried, but I'd expect it to be good.

6) the Boss RE-20 uses up your entire budget, so it looks like a bad bargain. But it is VERY good.

It is a long shot, but i did manage to pick up a line 6 m-13 for £179. I know it's a good deal but you might be able to score one under 200 on ebay by the looks of it (May have a few knicks, but it's going to be stomped on anyway). That gives you so many delay and reverb options, that i think if you COULD manage to pull out an extra £50 and find one, it would do the job you need and more.

However, it's understandable if you can't get another 50. used Boss DD is always a good option. I do like the line6 tonecore reverbs as well, but prices seem to go up and down all the time!

My setup is a MXR Carbon Copy and a TC Electronic Hall of Fame. Coupled with those I have an Earthquaker Dispatch Master if I want ambient noise for a spacey feel. I absolutely love that setup and would recommend it to anyone. Earthquaker optional, but incredibly rad.

I have to have a tap tempo on any delay, to me it's pretty useless without.

I use an Echo Park, pretty versatile.

Delay wise im looking for something that covers all grounds but doesn't master any, just for messing about with more so than anything. I had a DD3 but never really used it. Now I'm wanting something to mess about with.

Reverb I'm wanting to help my 5150ii's clean channel mainly. Same with the crunch channel. Don't think id use it on the lead much.

Well, any sort of reverb will treat you well. The Joyos should treat you well on a budget. No reason you should have issues. Your current choices are great too.

Yeah thats what i thought. Was hoping to grab tow cheap pedals since i dont use the effects much anyway. I normally keep things easy and just go guitar - OD - Noise gate - amp.

Mmm...the links for the Line 6 I supplied are flawed.

Here are some Echo Parks & Verbzillas at Reverb.com.

I have a TC Flashback and Hall of Fame as well as a Malekko 616. All great pedals (although the two delays are completely different really. Depends what you want)

i have a TC flashback and a PGS trinity (a modded version of the TC hall of fame) and i am in love with them both.

i am generally 100% against mainstream, mass produced pedals when i can afford not to be, and i strongly encourage seeking custom builders for a unique tone. HOWEVER, these TC pedals are AWESOME.

they have so many features i literally cannot turn them down. the toneprint, i phone beaming think blew my mind. not only that, i feel like thier pre-modeled settings are all very usable, and the analog settings sound very natural.

i strongly recommend.

Sorry to deviate, but maybe it's a good idea to look at getting an EQ as well? If anything, not to use as an effect but to 'sculpt' your amp tone..and tame fizz if you have trouble with it Getting myself an MXR 10 band soon as I can afford it.

Ive got an MXR 10band already, and an ISP decimator and a OD808 to help out with the distortion side of things.

The delay is mainly for my clean channel and the reverb for mainly clean/crunch channel.

My budget is for both pedals. Not sure if i said in OP or not though.
