Hey guys. I recently broke a string on my electric guitar and i cant get to the store for a while to buy a new one

So I was wondering. I have a steel string acoustic guitar. Can i take the string off of that guitar and put it on the electric?will it work?

it'll work.

might not be ideal for matching gauge and if it is a bronze wound string it will not interact as strongly with the pickup (i think it will still interact with the steel core of the string though). so it may not sound the best, but it'll play.
punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.
