I have Toontrack Solo as my drum program and Reaper as my temporary DAW. I also have a PODHD500 that I can use for PC connectivity.

My problem is I don't know what to do now that I have the programs. I honestly just want to be able to program some drum tracks so I can play over them and record without too much difficulty.

When I try to run Toontrack it says I need to specify a path as it says that I have no sounds. I really have no idea how to run the program, or Reaper for that matter. If any of y'all could send me some tips or pearls of wisdom I'd certainly appreciate it.

Toontrack solo is a sampler, meaning it's an interface to play audio files.
Said audio files are your drum sounds, so no sounds = no drums.

You may load Solo into reaper and program the drums, and then connect the pod to your computer to record the guitars afterwards.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

Are you not white any more?

I'm white-ish now. Arabic. But no longer a man.

Seems to be really stuck on this "white man" thing.

It makes for a great Pursuit of Happiness tune, though....
