We all know about all the different distortion, delay, reverb, tremolo, etc. pedals.
What about other, unique and/or not very well known effects?

I'm talking about stuff like the Pollyanna and the Ebow.

What other cool, unique effects are out there? Please share!

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

I've been screwing around on the "bit crusher" on my multifx lately, pretty amusing effect for some things (ie super Mario melody, adds some chaos to bluesy solo's).

A friend has an old ram's head big muff. Its absolute carnage but a lot of fun if you work with it.

I'm a fan of the ehx pog for the same sorta challenge when playing lead.

Oh, effects? Sorry I couldn't hear you because of the stack of doom those amps created.

you got one? does it have the reverb and trem or is it the one without effects. the one with out effects is even more 'doomy' (i think it is only available in head version though)

Hopefully soon. It's a combo though.

I have one guitar set up with a full implementation of a Fernandes Sustainer (with the sustainer intensity pot additionally wired to a pot in the control cavity). The same guitar also has a Chandler Tone-X on a push-pull pot (this is akin to a parked wah; it's an active sweepable mids boost (about 16 dB)). Same guitar also has a Buckethead-style kill switch. Oh, and it's got a slightly modified anodized aluminum poker chip...

And, of course, there are the Variax guitars, with a ton of alternate tunings available and a bunch of guitar models...
