real shame that all Foo Fighters songs sound the same and they've only released like 3 good songs since the first album.

thanks for proving my point, because learn to fly and my hero are the only two not shit song in that whole list

I just wish quotes of quotes kept the original quote in the quote.
Obviously we're just arguing opinion but I don't get why you think the others are shit.

Especially if they all sound the same

Your logic is broken.

If two songs sound good,

And all songs sound the same,

Then all songs sound good.

I for one love the Foo Fighters, and their oft-ignored Echoes Silence Patience and Grace album.

I'm not the one who said the first album/those two songs were good.

Foo Fighters aren't amazing but they're good so basically you're all wrong

Disagree. They aren't good.

They aren't bad either, though. They exist in a space very few bands exist in for me: the space of having no strong feelings one way or the other. All their stuff sounds the same and is generally listenable, but it does not pique my curiosity in any way
#25
whether the music of Foo Fighters is good or bad has no bearing on how awesome the persona of Dave Grohl is

I feel kind of the same. But they were sort of a transition band for me when I was a teenager. My first album ever was In Your Honor when I was 13. I'm still fond of some of the songs, especially on the second disc (CD1 is hard rock; CD2 is acoustic), which I actually hated back then. I also have One By One but it's a bit crap. The only good song on it is Low. Even at the time I only liked about half of it.
