Tied between the vypyr 30 or the VIP 2 just going to be a practice amp which amp in your opinion has the best amp models??? Not fussed about making it sound like bass or acoustic on the VIP 2

What styles of music do you play?

The original Vypyr is a little better suited for metal, where the VIP 2 is a little better for low-mid gain stuff.

That being said, either amp will do either sound proficiently, it's just a matter of where you would like to focus your tone.

In that case I'd say the older Vypyr would be a touch better. If you want, when you get it PM me and I'll give you my metal settings to get you started

I've owned 4 different Vypyrs, SS, Tube & VIP, and I can agree with everything classicrocker01 has said so far.
