If the guitar feels good in your hands thats the important part. Some people diss epiphones cheaper offerings but duds exist in all brands. I dont believe epi is any worse in that regard. Enjoy your guitar!

the epi lp studio is one of the best budget les pauls that beginners can buy.

a lot of guitar for the money imo. i actually prefer them to the epi standards but that's me, ymmv etc.
