Let's see how many peeps we can find going to the same institutions.

I go to Radford University, in Radford, VA. It's about 20 minutes down the road from Virginia Tech.

So, what about you?

University of Huddersfield.
It's a university, not a college, but I know how you americans like to confuse yourselves.

Universities contain colleges. So even if you go to a university, you are still attending a college.

The "School of Education" at any given university, for example, is a college.

College is where you go to get a certificate, diploma, or associate's degree.

University is where you go to get a bachelor's, masters, PhD, and do academic research.

Canada. I realize that the education system is pretty different from country to country though.

I'm not totally sure what you mean by semester credits but it was a 4 year program (2 year for the diploma) and it was Langara College in Vancouver. I know Kwantlen here gained University status (I'm pretty sure) but Langara wasn't a university when I went to it.

EDIT: I also had a major if that makes any difference.

Yeah, at least in Canada you know that that program was accredited as a bachelor's program by the same standards that the BC universities bachelor's programs were.

For the most part though, colleges have a very limited variety of bachelor's programs.

Looked it up and came across the weirdest program admission requirement:
[have] a USGA handicap of 8 or lower verified by PGA professional or high school coach.

Makes sense, but it's funny that "don't suck at golf" is any sort of bar for entry at all.

University of Texas... at Brownsville.

Bunch of stuff going on with a merger to another "local" university (UTPA) and a recent split from a previous joint college (Texas Southmost College). Mess, mess, mess.

Future name is UTRGV... unimpressive, but best name from list of 3.

And like 1/100 of VT's prestige. But of course VT has like 1/10 of UVA's, so it all evens out. Sort of.

I'm not at university yet, but I have offers from Newcastle, Nottingham and Leeds for Chemical Engineering [apparently, the maths involved is the hardest of all engineering degrees]. Why don't you all post what you're studying as well? Create some conversation and less of a list
