I'm planning on converting my Peavey 6505+ 112 into a combo and a head. Roughly based on what this person has done: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1530322&highlight=6505+ivory

So far, i've been getting dimensions of the amp, and where I will make the cut, seeing what parts to order in etc. however i've come to a dilemma when it comes to re-tolexing.

As i'm in the UK, tolex isn't the easiest to acquire, in big lengths, so would it be possible to use two separate pieces, or would it be obvious? So far, the longest lengths of tolex I have found have been 150cm x 90cm, which isn't enough to wrap around the head or cab entirely, like shown in this video (8 mins in) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k7rDs4F4qs

In reference to the blue LED mod (in the other persons conversion) how would I do that? I've found some strips of 12V LEDs at a local shop, however i'm not sure how I would wire it up. My guess would be to wire it up to what is used to power the lit up logo at the front?

Thanks in advance

Was thinking, could grab a 150x90 piece, and split it in two, as 45cm will be enough to reach inside the amp. Then there will be some spare which I could use for the cab. Good idea?
150 would reach round on both sides to the bottom, so I could put in another piece there without too much worry.
