Hey guys, I noticed recently a crackling sound through my amp when I adjust my volume knob in both directions on my Telecaster Cabronita… I automatically assume it's the wiring and probably a poor connection somewhere. I'm probably going to go in a resolver everything but I figured I'd ask some opinions from you guys first. Any recommendations ? Also, what type of solder and flux is recommended for guitar wiring ??

I highly doubt it is the solder

Sounds like a dirty pot.
get some deoxit and open the control cavity.
Spray the deoxit inside of the pots and move the pots through their entire sweep several times.
Spray liberally because it evaporates quick and it is made for electrical components.

I use the Radio Shack brand and it works just fine
