Alright guys, so I need to make a playlist for an 80's themed party. Songs don't necessarily have to be from the 80's, but they should have that cheesy, kinda weird feel...you know what I mean.

This is what I have so far. Got most of them from 80's Cardio Pandora but I'm out of skips and I'm impatient.

Bon Jovi – Livin on a Prayer
Madonna – Lucky Star
Haddaway – What is Love (7” version)
Aha – Take on Me
Bryan Adams – Summer of 69
Come on Eileen
Sweet Caroline
Soft Cell – Tainted Love
Wild Cherry – Play that Funky Music White Boy
Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough
Madonna – Into the Groove
Prince – Adore
Todd Rungdren – Bang on the drum all day
Toni Basil – Micki
Girls just wanna have fun

Suggestions?

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

You've already got the best song to come out of the 80s on your list (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun), so just play it on repeat.

Then when everyone gets tired switch to Time After Time

Village People - Y.M.C.A. (technically '70s, but whatever)

YES! This is my thread right here. I have a hard-on for 80s New Wave, which is clearly the best possible music to play at any party, especially an 80s party. So with that, I have to say... NEW ORDER NEW ORDER NEW ORDER NEW ORDER. Not just "Age of Consent", True Faith", "Blue Monday" or "Bizarre Love Triangle" (though those should all be played too). Deep cuts! I'm talking "Temptation", "The Perfect Kiss", "Face Up", "Subculture". But please, nothing from Movement or else everyone will get really depressed and kill themselves. But you do want to throw a couple of downer songs into it because it'll play with the listener's emotions and make the night more memorable. As long as all songs are danceable, you're good.

Here's my list for you (not in this order, you can figure that shit out):

Simple Minds - "Promised You a Miracle"
The Psychedelic Furs - "The Ghost In You"
The Police - "Wrapped Around Your Finger"
Japan - "The Art of Parties"
Cabaret Voltaire - "James Brown"
New Order - "Temptation" (1987 Mix)
Tears For Fears - "Head Over Heels"
Pet Shop Boys - "West End Girls"
Echo and the Bunnymen - "Lips Like Sugar"
The Smiths - "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before"
Simple Minds - "Ghost Dancing"
New Order - "The Perfect Kiss"
Opposition - "The Voice Had Changed"
SAGA - "On the Loose"
Killing Joke - "Love Like Blood"
Modern Eon - "Choreography"
David Bowie - "Let's Dance"
Siouxsie and the Banshees - "Cities in Dust"
Duran Duran - "Rio"
New Order - "True Faith"
Hall and Oates - "Out of Touch"
Talk Talk - "It's My Life"
Prefab Sprout - "The King of Rock 'N' Roll" (SPACED reference lol)
The Smiths - "How Soon Is Now?"
New Order - "Bizarre Love Triangle"
Corey Hart - "Sunglasses At Night"
The Human League - "(Keep Feeling) Fascination"
Billy Idol - "Eyes Without A Face"
Talking Heads - "Burning Down the House"
New Order - "Blue Monday"

That's all I'll do for now because I'm getting lazy. But it gives you an idea at least.
