So i'm a fairly intermediate player. Been playing for a few years now everyday.

I've come to notice that whenever I come to play barre chords, my hand quickly throbs in pain. In the past I don't ever remember having this problem. I used to play barre chords with ease.

I always find my hands are really cold at the moment, so I was thinking it may be that?

Pour boiling water over them... No, you could warm them up, do some stretches. Not sure if it's to do with the cold but warming and stretching your hands/wrists will reduce the chances of an injury.

Check your thumb position.
Check your arm position.
Check your guitar placement.

And take a break. If a day or 2 break won't help then go see a doctor.
