My friend had a mid/late 90's S-100 and if the new ones are as good, you'll have a winner

do you remember how the neck profile was? Im hoping for a slightly slim neck. nothing fatter than a Gibson 60's slim taper style

I liked the guitar, played and sounded great. The neck was not huge, but a little bigger than the 60's neck.

No it was 14 yrs ago. I do remember I had a LP studio at the time with a 50's neck and the Guild was deff a slimmer neck, but to what extent

And I have no idea what the new ones are like in comparison. And I have only played 1 so I'm far from an expert on how they were.

Im wanting it for some doom im concerned that the pickups might be an issue and they look to be mini hum's I really dig the vibe of it just trying to get opinions.

I'd get an older one with HB's or P-90's or get a Gibson SG.

Given your concerns about the neck profile and the pickups, might I suggest you take a look at the Reverend Sensei line? I don't know that a P90 would work for doom...but the HB equipped ones are starting to find their way into the hands of metal guitarists. The guys in Sylosis happen to have recently adopted both HB and RA versions (with the RailHammer Chisel pickups).

I don't want a p90 guitar I don't think. But with that in mind the pickups in the s-100 are a complete copy of some original 60's guild pickup wich are low output maybe that's what I would want so the notes are more defined

Trust me- check out some of the RailHammer pickup demos. They have excellent low note definition.
