Wanna throw some 52-10 gauge strings on my tele but i'm really nervous about doing so. I've put heavier gauge string on my guitars before with no problem but i really, really like this guitar and don't screw it up.

Anyone see me running into a problem if i did so?

Heavy Bottom, Skinny Top Ernie Balls?

Yeah, it's totally fine. I used them for quite a while, and I'm a Strat/Tele player. You may have to adjust the relief of your neck a tad, but nothing far at all.

10-52s are not heavy enough to mess anything up.

what are you coming from? at most, you may have to tighten the truss a smidge.

You're not going to screw up anything by changing string gauges. It just isn't going to happen. All you need to do is re-adjust the guitar.

And well yes, I'll enjoy the carpal tunnel and tendonitis, because trying to get one is clearly smarter than any word you have spoken thus far.
