So i'm trying to replicate a Billy corgan strat by buying a Squire vintage modified strat and installing a Hot rail (b), Dimarzio Pro Track (m), and a tone zone(n). i'm also going to install a coil split for all the pickups. think that'll be close enough to the actual thing?

What amp and FX are you using? That will be a bigger factor than the guitar is. From what I remember he used a JCM800 and a ton of FX
2002 PRS CE22
2013 G&L ASAT Deluxe
2009 Epiphone G-400 (SH-4)
Marshall JCM2000 DSL100

Krank Rev 4x12 (eminence V12)
GFS Greenie/Digitech Bad Monkey
Morley Bad Horsie 2

I use a Peavey 6505 112 combo , and boat load of other effects. to many to list, but one of each type at least.

You would want a Marshall flavored amp to get the best results, but you should be able to coax believable SP sounds out of your gear. The pickups should work fine also
