So, I'm looking for something cheap to record some guitar. I really just want something that will let me record any guitar parts I'm working on. Basically, something to use to record progress. Almost like a folder someone would have at school or something to that effect. I figure being able to save my playing would make me more motivated and also give me a better idea of where I'm at and what to improve on. I had a tape recorder in the past, but that only went so far. I'm looking for something better, something that will hold more.

Maybe an 8 track recorder? It's easy to record on, and you can save your recordings. Or, maybe even a 4 track. They also have pocket ones.

There are lots of recommendations in the Interfaces sticky covering all your options, whether you decide to go with a multitracker or a PC based solution.

Go read it, you won't regret it. There's something there for all budgets.
