I currently have the plain old, garden variety iRig and am considering paying the $120 for an iRig HD. I don't own a computer and do all of my recording on my iPhone5. I use Amplitube but also have GarageBand, which I'm considering deleting. Just wondering if anyone knows if the sound quality is that much of an improvement to justify forking out the money for the HD.
The quality isn't enough.
Plus for that application you don't really care that much about sound quality.

If you wanna spend that money buy a proper audio interface to use it with a computer - or a proper audio interface to use it with the iPad if you fancy that.
Check the focusrite iTrack dock and iTrack solo after you read the interfaces sticky.
Name's Luca.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.
