Hey guys,

Having a little trouble here trying to figure out what kind of Ibanez this is. I am considering buying it. It's an SA series. The guy says there's no model number but has given me the serial number instead which hasn't really helped me at all in trying to find the model.

Any chance some Ibanez guru's out there can give me a hand?

Cheers.

SA 260M there is one on ebay just like it for $350

Not that. "M" at the end signifies a maple fretboard.

TS, what is the serial number?

I'm pretty good about identifying Ibanez models, but this one is strange. I'm not aware of an SA with no inlays.

The body is like an SAS36FM, but I don't know why the neck has no inlays.

Possibly a neck from a different Ibanez, but even then I cant' think of any bolt on Ibanez necks that have no inlays at all, off the top of my head.

EDIT: And this guitar should have a set neck anyway, it couldn't be from a different Ibanez. TS, see if you can get a pic of the back.

EDIT 2: The trem looks like an original SAT Pro, which makes it most likely a 2006 or 2007 model.

EDIT 3: Aha! I found it. It is an Ibanez SA360EX, which was a limited run only available in 2003.

As far as I've been able to find the SA360EX has only been available in 2003. After this it was replaced by the SAS36, which in essence is the same guitar.

Specs of the SA360:
Made in Korea
Mahogany body with flamed maple top
Abalone and cream binding on the body
Set 5 piece mahogany/maple neck
Rosewood fingerboard, fret-markers only on the side of the fingerboard
H-S-S pickup configuration, Duncan Designed -pickups
5-way pickup selector, one volume, one tone control
Ibanez Satellite -tremolo, Wilkinson style 2-point tremolo
Spin 'round carousel when your horse isn't screwed in.

My band:
Fractured Instinct
(For fans of Death/Groove/Prog Metal)

Ibanez RGA42E
Ibanez S420
LTD H-301
Ibanez RG520
Peavey Predator USA
Douglas Grendel 725
