Hi, I have a black Lag Arkane 100 and I'm thinking about to take the lacquer of for a refinish. I don't know how it looks underneath the lacquer, but to cover all possibilities I want to if it would be possible to glue a veneer top on that guitar using the sandbag-method.

I think the carve will make it a nightmare or even impossible with sandbags. I don't even know if the vacuum press will work for that.

ah no, i dont really like that sort of foil or paper finish.
Could it be possible to form the veneer with hot water and air on the guitar before striping it?
Then letting it dry, strip the guitar down and apply the veneer?
