I have to record 10 jam tracks for a company. I'm supposed to choose the genre but I'm not sure what's popular.

What do you guys jam to?

Like melodic, black, death, symphonic, and/or avant-garde metal? Want to collaborate? Message me!
Jamming on backing tracks of blues rock, not the slow shit, but the faster stuff.
Playing along with a lot of shit. pop, rock, metal. you name it I'll play it if I like it.

Though I wouldn't even list Periphery as a djent band, they're not underground enough.
And they don't have enough 0s in their songs.
C'm on for ****'s sake it's djent not progressive metal.
It's a breakdown.

I'd usually either jam djent parts over commercial modern pop stuff or blues all by myself.

I usually listen to a rather large playlist of mine that is a mix of classical and jazz, with the odd mix of the two, namely a few of my favorites of Mr. Gershwin's works.

^ I've just realised if you say Simple Plan's 2011 effort "Get Your Heart On!" really fast in a Southern American accent, it sounds gross. . .like sexual gross!
